PORTLAND - A Milwaukie youth league coach has been charged with child sex abuse involving a player.
Police arrested 49-year-old Gary Clausen on nine counts of sex abuse. Detectives began their investigation after hearing in April that Clausen had inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old girl.
Police executed a search warrant at Clausen's SE Portland house and car Thursday.
The charges were all related to one victim who Clausen had coached. Police expressed concerns there could be more victims.
Clausen is described as a well-known coach who also coached youth football, basketball and baseball outside of the school district. He is also the former President of Mount Hood Little League.
