Seidio Active Case and Holster for the Samsung Galaxy S III hands-on

1.

First and foremost, the Seidio Active Case is comprised out of two materials, with the first being a barely there rubbery inner case. Although it?s super flexible, it encompasses the footprint of the handset so that everything except the display is covered.

2.

With the rubbery inner case, there are cutouts for the smartphone?s various ports and buttons. Fortunately, we didn?t have any issues in trying to press any of its buttons ? as the case offers enough distinction for our finger to feel out.

3.

Secondly, the Seidio Active Case has a sturdier outer exoskeleton that has a sharp red paint job that stands out. Overall, the entire case doesn?t add much bulk to the handset, as it maintains a slim figure.

4.

So what?s special with this case? Well, it manages to tuck away a kickstand that?s inconspicuously hidden away in the rear. Furthermore, it?s flush to the surface of the case so that it doesn?t jut out compared to the surrounding area.

5.

Indeed, the kickstand is great for watching movies, but it?s only usable in landscape since it?s unable to carry the weight of the handset when it?s placed in portrait.

6.

The Holster add-on isn?t as compelling since it?s like any other holster out there, meaning, it?s meant to be attached to your belt. With its all-plastic construction, it doesn?t necessarily come off as the most durable thing.

7.

However, it?s nice that the spring-loaded holster allows us to easily insert and remove the handset, with the Active Case and all, with very few issues. On top of that, the holster makes sure to keep the Samsung Galaxy S III firmly in place while it?s in there.
